Daniel Vancsik won the Madeira Islands Open BPI in a categorical way and became the first non-European player to win this tournament, which since the first edition has been held in the course of Santo da Serra.
The Argentine professional, took control of the Madeira Islands Open BPI on the third day and consolidated that lead, increasing his advantage to seven strokes in relation to the second place, finishing with 270 strokes (-18) with turns of 68, 66, 68 and 68.
In second place were Spanish Santiago Luna and South African David Frost, both with 277 strokes (-11).
